Olympics opening ceremonyDid you watch the opening ceremony for the Olympics?I thought it was fab (ﾉ´ｰ`)ﾉ I was a little worried about what it was going to be like and thought I'd watch it til I got bored but it was rather awesome and very, very British.I'm really interested to see what people outside Great Britain thought of it.My favourite part was how excited and interested the Queen looked all the time.

Stranger Danger!!:iconohshitplz: Usernames changing.Personally I'm against being able to change usernames - if you have a username you don't like, particularly an embarrassing one, you should be stuck with it forever, as a constant reminder of all the mistakes you've made in the past. Like when you have to use your embarrassing email address to apply for jobs and college.Yeah, EmoWolfLover666 sure is timeless. You can't go wrong if you have 'chan' or 'kawaii' or especially 'desu' in your username even though you're not Japanese. You should proclaim your love for that fictional character from that fandom you will love forever.Deviantart letting people change their usernames isn't letting people learn from their mistakes, it's letting them take the easy way out. And that is wrong. You should wear your disliked username as a badge of shame. Show people that you were foolish in the past but you have grown as a person. Set an example for the children - show them that they must take time to consider thing

Grimoires and the Unholy Invitationals of the DamnShare|AboutGrimoires and the Unholy Invitationals of the Damnedby techgnoticHalloween entertainment… or invitation to evil?Grimoire 2 by AndrewDobellWe all know from the movies that a vampire can’t cross over the threshold into one’s home without being invited. And yet simply knowing that Dracula can be held at bay so easily makes issuing that invitation all the more irresistible. Could such things as supernatural beings actually be real? And could there be ways for we mere mortals to have the power to evoke them into existence or dismiss them as we might pleas
InterstellarShare|AboutInterstellarBy techgnoticInterstellar by MachiavelliCroWho needs enemy aliens — when the oddities of space travel itself are so mind–blowing?Terraforming 1.1 by Wasteland-3DAs the following gallery of landscapes of deviantARTist–imagined other worlds well attests to — the natural desire of humans to explore and discover knows no bounds, not even the limits of the Earth’s atmospheric shell. Whatever’s out there, beyond our galaxy: we want to put eyes on it. But space travel presents quite a problem.Even spaceships
Collection: Forgotten PastShare|AboutForgotten Pastschnotte is a German artist know for his photographs of rotting, decaying buildings and other dark themes. His camera explores architectural structures, but mostly to emphasize their coldness. The human figures in his photographs appear out of place, as if lost in filthy, forgotten, broken-down manufacturing machines, the cold, dark environments not built with humanity in mind. Looking through these images we can see the ghosts of the love that once inhabited his worlds and it is that love that still shines through his pictures. We are blown away by the beauty Schotte imbues to these deathly quiet scenes that are equally sad and uplifting.“Yesterday is but today’s memory, and tomorrow is today’s dream.”– Theodore Roosevelt
